Re:AOPG Mihawk Raid Guide
Sea 3 location, Yoru drop, 360° slash mechanics and the meta 3-person team build.
Mihawk is the Sea 3 raid boss in Re:AOPG that drops the Yoru sword and a curated set of late-game materials. He spawns at Baratie and Marineford in the Third Sea, rotates on a 30-minute server timer, and rewards a 3-person crew minimum. This guide covers the exact Mihawk location, the full drop table, the recommended team composition, and the dodge patterns for Mihawk’s signature 360° slash and Hawk Eye mechanics. Drop data is cross-referenced from the Bosses hub and the Raid ladder, while the recommended builds draw from the Best builds hub and the Fighting styles tier list.
Mihawk is the second hardest raid boss in the live game, behind only the Multiverse Sea Sukuna encounter. He requires Conqueror’s Haki to deal full damage, drops Yoru at 5% per clear, and is the most efficient way to farm the Poneglyphs needed for the V4 race awakenings on the Races tier list. The fastest Beli route to afford a Mihawk run is on the Beli farming hub.
Mihawk Location
Mihawk spawns at two locations in the Third Sea:
- Baratie (primary) — the floating restaurant island east of Marineford. This is the most common Mihawk spawn and is the fastest route for most crews.
- Marineford (secondary) — the Marine HQ island south of the Sea 3 hub. Mihawk appears here roughly 25% of the time.
Travel to the Sea 3 teleport hub and select Baratie or Marineford. Mihawk’s banner appears as a giant black-sword silhouette in the spawn window. The Mihawk rotation alternates with the other Sea 3 raid bosses on a 30-minute timer, so check the Raid ladder for the full rotation.
Mihawk Drop Table
| Drop | Drop Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Yoru (sword) | 5% | Roronoa Zoro’s black sword, +30% Sword Saint damage |
| Mihawk title | 10% | Cosmetic “World’s Strongest Swordsman” |
| Poneglyph | 100% (1 per clear) | Used in V4 race awakenings |
| Gems | 100% (25,000 Gems) | Currency, used in crew upgrades |
| Mihawk’s Hat | 3% | Cosmetic, tradeable on the market |
The Mihawk title is one of the most-traded cosmetics in the game. The Yoru sword is the second-highest sword damage buff behind True Gryphon on the Sword tier list. The Mihawk’s Hat trades in the 50-100 Dragon range on the Trading values page.
Recommended Mihawk Build
The meta Mihawk build for the boss-killer DPS slot is:
- Devil Fruit: Leopard (Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard) — Mythical Zoan, drops from Leopard Dungeon. Best raw DPS for the burst window.
- Fighting Style: Godhuman — the crossover style that drops from the Multiverse Sea Godhuman chain. Combos with Leopard’s transformation.
- Haki: Conqueror’s Haki — required to deal full damage to Mihawk. Unlock chain is on the Haki guide.
- Race: Skypiean — +20% agility and damage. The Sword Saint ceiling race, from the Races tier list.
- Accessory Setup: Crown of the Storm + Sea-stone Ring + Warlord’s Cloak. The accessory rankings are on the Accessory tier list.
For the second DPS slot, swap to Dragon + Sword Saint + Skypiean from the Best builds hub. For the support slot, use Soul Awk (Misery) + Vector Control + Lunarian from the Support styles tier list.
Mihawk Mechanics
Mihawk has three signature mechanics that you need to dodge:
360° Slash
Mihawk’s signature attack. He leaps into the air and fires a full-circle black-blade slash that hits everything in range. The dodge window is 0.8 seconds — dash outward (Soru) the moment he starts the animation. The 360° slash deals roughly 40% of your max HP as damage, so a clean dodge is mandatory. If you are caught in the AoE, use a Lunarian self-revive or a Phoenix revive to survive.
Hawk Eye (Mark)
Mihawk’s Hawk Eye mechanic marks one player for 10 seconds. During the mark, Mihawk deals 50% bonus damage to the marked player and ignores their defense. The marked player should kite away from the boss while the rest of the crew continues damage. The mark does not transfer between players, so the marked player just has to survive the timer.
Cross-Slash Combo
Mihawk’s mid-fight enrage. At 50% HP, Mihawk chains three cross-slashes in quick succession. Each slash covers a different arc, so the dodge pattern is to dash behind Mihawk on the first slash, dash left on the second, dash right on the third. Practice this on the Marine Admirals first — Aokiji has a similar cross-slash enrage at lower difficulty.
3-Person Team Composition
Mihawk is tuned for a 3-person crew minimum. The optimal crew is:
| Slot | Build | Role |
|---|---|---|
| DPS #1 | Leopard + Godhuman + Skypiean | Burst window opener |
| DPS #2 | Dragon + Sword Saint + Lunarian | Sustained damage, AoE clear |
| Support | Soul Awk + Vector Control + Lunarian | Crew healing, debuff |
For a 4-6 person crew, add Mammoth + Sword Saint + Cyborg as a backup DPS and a Mochi v2 + Water Kung-Fu + Fishman tank from the Best builds hub.
Recommended Mihawk Strategy
- Open — DPS #1 (Leopard + Godhuman) opens with the burst window. Aim for the Hawk Eye mark to land on the strongest DPS.
- Sustain — DPS #2 (Dragon + Sword Saint) follows with sustained sword swings. Stack the Sword Saint scaling on every hit.
- Dodge the 360° slash — both DPS players dash outward the moment Mihawk leaps. Support stays at mid-range to apply the debuff.
- Cross-slash enrage — at 50% HP, the crew dodges in sequence (behind, left, right) per the pattern above.
- Finish — DPS #1 finishes the last 10% with a burst window. Support heals through the enrage.
Use the Codes hub Raidcounter boost before the run to add a +1 raid token.
Solo Mihawk Clear
Solo Mihawk is technically possible with a maxed Leopard + Godhuman + Skypiean build, Conqueror’s Haki, and full Sea 3 progression. The clear takes 8-12 minutes. Solo Mihawk is slower than the 3-person crew route but lets you keep 100% of the drops. The full solo Mihawk walkthrough is on the Solo Mihawk guide.
Mihawk vs Other Sea 3 Bosses
Mihawk is the second hardest Sea 3 boss. The full ladder:
- Easiest — Boss Garp (title drop, 100% Beli).
- Medium — Boss Yoru, Boss Dragon, Boss Wukong.
- Hard — Boss Smith, Boss Hybrid 4th, Boss Phoenix.
- Hardest — Mihawk, Boss Ifrit.
The Mihawk rotation alternates with the other Sea 3 raid bosses. Use the Raid ladder to plan your run schedule.
