Re:AOPG Support Style Tier List

Support styles are the secondary fighting style slot in Re:AOPG. They are not used for raw damage — they buff crewmates, debuff bosses, or provide utility like healing or aggro management. This page ranks every relevant support style and explains the meta crew composition.

Factions explained

Soul Awk (Misery) — S Tier

Soul Awk (Misery) is the Limbus Company collab style. It adds +25% crew damage and applies a stacking debuff on the target boss. It is the single best support style in the game for raid play.

Vector Control — S Tier

Vector Control is the A Certain Magical Index collab style. It adds +20% damage reduction for crewmates within range. It is the best defensive support in the game.

Berserker Armor — A Tier

Berserker Armor is the Berserk collab style. It adds +15% damage and +10% defense for the user. It is the best hybrid support / DPS style.

Warrior Cape — A Tier

Warrior Cape is a Berserk collab support style. It adds +12% crew defense. It is the best pure-defensive support after Vector Control.

Meta Crew Composition

For a 4-man raid crew:

• DPS #1 — Leopard + Sword Saint + Skypiean (top raw damage).
• DPS #2 — Dragon + Sword Saint + Lunarian (mobility + sustained).
• Support #1 — Soul Awk + Vector Control + Skypiean (top raid support).
• Tank — Mochi v2 + Water Kung-Fu + Fishman (boss aggro + survival).

For a 6-man raid crew, add:

• Backup DPS — Mammoth + Sword Saint + Cyborg.
• Backup Support — Berserker Armor + Warrior Cape + Lunarian.

Support Style Trade Values

Soul Awk (Misery) is the most-traded support style. Vector Control is second. Berserker / Berserker Armor / Warrior Cape round out the S/A tier. The full trade list is on the trading values page.

Support Style vs Main Style Loadout

Every Re:AOPG character has two fighting-style slots: a main style (your damage source) and a support style (your buff / debuff source). The support slot does not contribute to your own raw damage unless you run a hybrid style like Berserker Armor — it scales off crew size and proximity.

The rule of thumb:

• Solo play — pick Berserker Armor or Sword Saint (support mode) as your support slot. Hybrid styles give you personal damage when no crew is nearby.
• 2-3 man crew — run Vector Control for the +20% damage reduction aura. Your crew DPS will out-scale any hybrid support style.
• 4-6 man raid crew — run Soul Awk (Misery). The +25% crew damage + boss debuff is the strongest single support buff in the game.
• Bounty PvP — run Sharkman Karate (support) for the +5% crew damage vs Sea enemies, or Sword Saint (support) if your main style is hybrid.

A common mistake is locking in Soul Awk (Misery) early. The Limbus Company collab island requires Conqueror’s Haki + 50K gems to enter Multiverse Sea, which most players do not unlock until late Sea 3. Vector Control is the better early pick because A Certain Magical Index collab unlocks at Conqueror’s Haki only.

The main style tier list — Godhuman > Death Step > Sanguine Art > Sharkman Karate > Electric Claw — is on the fighting styles tier list.

Detailed Unlock Chains for Collab Support Styles

Below is the full unlock chain for the three collab support styles that drive the late-game meta:

Soul Awk (Misery) — Limbus Company Chain

1. Reach Multiverse Sea (requires Conqueror’s Haki + 50K gems to enter).
2. Travel to Limbus Company island in the second cluster.
3. Speak to the Limbus NPC to start the collab chain (5 quest stages).
4. Stage 1 — defeat 5 Limbus-themed mid-bosses on Multiverse Sea (any build).
5. Stage 2 — clear the Limbus dungeon (4-man crew, recommended Lunarian or Awakened Saiyan race).
6. Stage 3 — collect 30 Limbus essence drops (1.2% per clear from the dungeon boss).
7. Stage 4 — defeat the Limbus final boss (6-man crew, full Sea 3 builds).
8. Stage 5 — return to the Limbus NPC and unlock Soul Awk (Misery).

Soul Awk requires you to have already cleared the Conqueror’s Haki chain and the Internal Armament chain. The full Haki walkthrough is on the Haki unlock guide.

Vector Control — A Certain Magical Index Chain

1. Reach Multiverse Sea (Conqueror’s Haki + 50K gems).
2. Travel to Academy City island (A Certain Magical Index collab).
3. Speak to the Academy NPC and start the 4-stage chain.
4. Stage 1 — defeat 10 Academy City-themed NPCs.
5. Stage 2 — clear the Academy dungeon (2-3 man crew, recommended Skypiean race for mobility).
6. Stage 3 — defeat Accelerator at the end of the dungeon (this is also where the Accelerator style drops — 1.5% per clear).
7. Stage 4 — return to the Academy NPC and unlock Vector Control.

Vector Control does not require Conqueror’s Haki to unlock; you only need Conqueror’s to enter Multiverse Sea. The Accelerator style is a separate drop from the same dungeon.

Berserker / Berserker Armor / Warrior Cape — Berserk Chain

The Berserk collab is the easiest support chain because it sits on Midland (Multiverse Sea), not Limbus. Three styles are available:

• Berserker (base) — 3-stage chain, just defeat Guts-themed mid-bosses. Unlocks the +10% self-damage buff.
• Berserker Armor — 5-stage chain, requires you to clear the Berserk dungeon once. Adds +15% damage + +10% defense for self.
• Warrior Cape — 4-stage chain, requires the Berserk dungeon plus a Wakizashi drop (5% from dungeon boss). Adds +12% crew defense.

All three Berserk styles can be unlocked on the same account — they share the Midland unlock but have separate quest chains. The Midland dungeon drops Berserk essence at 1.8% per clear, which feeds the cosmetic set.
