The current meta (Aug 2026) has Enma and Yoru sitting at the top of every sword list, with True Gryphon (the Shanks signature) close behind. Pirate King’s Sword is the rarest sword in the game and trades at the top of the player market. Most mid-game players are farming Kitetsu III, Sandai Kitetsu and Wado Ichimonji — all three are A-tier and obtainable in a week of focused grinding.
S+ Tier — Mythic Ceiling Swords
The S+ tier is reserved for swords that change the damage formula. These are swords that push Sword Saint into the top-damage bracket on every boss in the game.

Enma is the strongest single sword in the game. Its non-physical damage passive bypasses enemy armor, so it out-scales every other sword in raw damage even on the toughest raid bosses. The unlock chain is the Wano sword questline, which requires a clear of Oden Wano + the Kozuki Clan vendor + 8,000 Sword Stat.
Yoru is the second-highest sword damage buff at +30% Sword Saint damage. It drops from the Mihawk raid on Yoru Island (Sea 3) at 5% per clear — the highest single-sword drop rate in the game. The Dual Yoru variant is sold by the Mihawk NPC at Logue Town for 30,000 Gems.
True Gryphon is the Shanks signature sword. It drops from the World Boss rotation when Shanks is the active boss. True Gryphon spikes during Shanks rotation and is the third-highest damage buff at +35% Sword Saint damage.
Pirate King’s Sword is the rarest sword in the game. The unlock chain requires 4 Poneglyphs, 7,000 Sword Stat, every Haki type, and 50,000 Gems to attempt the Gold D Roger raid at Elbaf. Trade value sits at the very top of the player market.
S Tier — Top-Tier Swords
The S tier covers swords that are slightly below the S+ ceiling but still top-damage. Every sword here is a meta pick for an end-game Sword Saint build.

Kyoka Suigetsu drops from the Aizen raid at Hueco Mundo (Multiverse Sea). It is the highest Multiverse Sea sword drop rate at 2% per clear, and pairs with the Aizen Hollow-themed cosmetic set. The walkthrough is on the Raids hub.
Napoleon is the Big Mom signature sword. It drops from the Big Mom World Boss rotation at 1% per clear. Napoleon stacks with the Soul Devil Fruit for the recommended PvP build.
Gryphon V3 is the upgrade of the standard Gryphon sword. Bring 1 Poneglyph + 25,000 Gems to the upgrader NPC on Shanks Island. The craft is guaranteed and the buff is +26% Sword Saint damage.
Oden Blades V2 is the upgraded version of the Oden Blades V1. The V1 drops from Oden Wano at 1% per clear, and the V2 requires Ame no Habakiri + Enma + Oden V1 + 8,000 Sword Stat + 2T Beli + 30,000 Gems + the Kozuki Clan Scroll.
True Santoryu and Jigoku Santoryu are both Flying Onigashima craft swords. True Santoryu is the prerequisite for Jigoku Santoryu — bring True Santoryu + 28,000 Gems + 5,400 Sword Stat to the Flying Onigashima vendor.
A Tier — Solid Mid-Game Swords
The A tier is the realistic end-game goal for most players. Every sword here drops within a week of focused farming and pushes Sword Saint into the upper bracket of damage.

Beast Hammer and Thunder Pole are the easiest A-tier swords to obtain. Both drop at 5% per clear from Sea Beast and Enel respectively, which are the two most farmable bosses in the early game.
Kikoku is the Law signature sword. It drops from the Law raid (Sea 2) at 1% per clear, and it is the prerequisite for Sea 2 unlock. Most players pick up Kikoku during the Sea 2 unlock quest chain.
Zangetsu drops in Multiverse Sea Hueco Mundo at 5% per clear. It is also required for the Soul style unlock quest.
Kitetsu III is the random-drop Kitetsu variant. It drops from any Sea 1 or Sea 2 boss at low rates, and it is the recommended first sword for a Sword Saint build on the Getting started guide.
Wado Ichimonji is the Zoro signature sword. It is a quest reward from the mid-tier Zoro quest chain, and it unlocks Sword Saint style.
B Tier — Niche Picks
The B tier covers swords with strong utility but lower raw damage than the S and A tiers. They are great picks for off-build or PvE content.

Flame Pipe has the lowest drop rate in the game at 0.5% per clear. It is a collector’s item rather than a meta pick.
Suzaku / 2-Sword / 3-Sword Style are the Zoro style-locked swords, purchased from the Zoro NPC at Shells Town for 100K / 700K / 5M Beli respectively. They unlock the corresponding fighting style but do not buff Sword Saint.
C Tier — Starter Swords
The C tier covers swords with no significant buff. They are starter swords that you replace as soon as you roll a Rare-tier drop.
