What the Multiverse Sea Changed in Re:AOPG

The Multiverse Sea update re-shaped the entire race roster in Re:AOPG by adding cross-anime skins on top of the existing classic races. Gojo, Sukuna, Toji, Perfect Lunarian (Seraphim), and Saiyan-style race variants now sit alongside Human, Mink, Cyborg, Fishman, Skypiean, and Shandian. The change was not just cosmetic — every cross-anime race carries a unique passive, and several of them have shifted the top-end meta in both PvP and raid damage brackets.

Seraphim Race Deep-Dive — Multiverse Sea

Classic Races Still in the Meta

The five classic races did not lose their spot in the meta — they lost a few slots to the new cross-anime skins. They are still the strongest mid-game choices because they are easy to awaken and cheap to level.

Cross-Anime Race Skins

The Multiverse Sea patch added five major cross-anime race skins, each tied to a different collab archetype.

Gojo Race (Jujutsu Kaisen)

The Gojo race skin is a Human variant with a unique Infinity passive that absorbs a portion of incoming hits for a few seconds after taking damage. It plays like a tank-race hybrid and is the strongest new option for players who like to hold a frontline in PvP tier list matchups.

Sukuna Race (Jujutsu Kaisen)

The Sukuna skin is a Mink variant with a higher crit multiplier on melee attacks and a short-range slash passive. It dominates mid-range PvP duels and is the second-strongest new race skin in raw damage.

Toji Race (Jujutsu Kaisen)

The Toji skin is a Human variant with no Devil Fruit — pure weapon-and-brawler stats. It has the highest physical attack stat in the game and the lowest cooldown on melee skills, but it loses the elemental coverage of Devil Fruit users.

Perfect Lunarian / Seraphim Race

The Perfect Lunarian race (also called the Seraphim race after the Seraphim update) is a Skypiean variant with a permanent fire aura passive and an HP regeneration buff out of combat. It is the strongest new race for PvE grinders because of the regen, and it is top-tier in raid damage because of the fire passive stacking with fire-based fighting styles.

Saiyan Race (Dragon Ball)

The Saiyan skin is a Mink variant with a power-up-on-damage passive (the Primal Saiyan transformation), and it is the strongest new race for end-game damage. The Primal Saiyan guide covers the unlock path and damage stack.

Race V4 Priority Order for End-Game

Most veterans follow a fixed priority order for Race V4 fragments because the fragment cost is high and the unlock path differs per race.

Recommended V4 order:

1. Human V4 — cheapest, fastest, opens every other race’s fragment path.
2. Mink V4 — unlocks Saiyan and Sukuna synergy.
3. Cyborg V4 — opens the raid-damage path.
4. Skypiean V4 — unlocks Perfect Lunarian and Seraphim.
5. Fishman V4 — water-zone specialist, lower priority.
6. Cross-anime V4 — only after the above five are maxed.

The reason the cross-anime skins are last is that they share the same fragment slot as their base race. Toji needs Human V4 maxed before it can be awakened, and Perfect Lunarian needs Skypiean V4 maxed first.

How to Unlock Cross-Anime Race Skins

Every cross-anime race skin is gated behind a special NPC in Multiverse Sea.

Unlock locations:

• Gojo skin — Jujutsu NPC on Ice Island outpost.
• Sukuna skin — Jujutsu NPC on Onigashima outpost.
• Toji skin — Jujutsu NPC in Cacao Island outpost.
• Perfect Lunarian — Seraphim NPC in Sea 3 Sky Island.
• Saiyan skin — Capsule NPC in Sea 3 Tournament Island.

Each NPC sells the skin for a fixed Beli cost and a fragment bundle. The cost is high enough that you should only unlock one skin at a time, and only after banking at least one V4 of the matching base race.

Why the Cross-Anime Races Changed the Meta

The five cross-anime skins collectively moved the meta in three ways.

1. New frontline options. Gojo and Toji filled the tank-race gap that Mink left at the top end. Both races hold a frontline against the strongest PvP damage dealers without needing fruit synergy.

2. New raid damage tier. Saiyan and Perfect Lunarian opened a new raid-damage bracket that is locked behind the races tier list rankings. Most raid damage brackets now require one of the two races.

3. New grind-friendly options. Perfect Lunarian’s regen passive lets solo grinders sustain longer sessions without healing, which is the biggest quality-of-life change the patch added.

If you are starting fresh after the Multiverse Sea update, the safest build order is:

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Unlocking cross-anime skins before their base race is V4 — they share the fragment slot.
• Selling race fragments for Beli — every fragment becomes a free V4 later.
• Ignoring the Primal Saiyan path — it is the strongest end-game race for raw damage.
• Chasing cross-anime skins over base races — the base races still gate the cross-anime skins.
