True Gryphon — S Tier
True Gryphon is Shanks’ signature sword. It drops from the World Boss rotation when Shanks is the active boss. True Gryphon is the single highest sword damage buff in the game at +35%.

Yoru — S Tier
Yoru is Roronoa Zoro’s black sword. It drops from the Boss Yoru raid in Sea 3. Yoru is the second-highest sword damage buff at +30%.

The mid-tier Shanks sword is a viable pre-True Gryphon pick. It drops from the Shanks encounter in the Sengoku Domain side quest. Damage buff is +25%.
Sword Saint Style

Sword Trade Values

- Reach Sea 3 and complete the Zoro quest chain.
- Clear Boss Yoru for Yoru sword.
- Wait for the Shanks World Boss rotation for True Gryphon.

Sword Saint is a high-skill, mid-to-late-game style that scales every stat line off your equipped sword. The community sword tier — Enma > Yoru > Pirate King’s Sword > Napoleon > Gryphon > Kyoka Suigetsu > Oden V2 > Jigoku Santoryu — is the order most end-game PvPers run. By comparison, top-tier Devil Fruit builds (Leopard + Godhuman + Buso Haki for PvP; Dragon + Buso + Conqueror’s Haki for aerial; Mammoth + Death Step for bossing) hit harder on raw stats but require fruit rerolls and awakening scrolls.
