Re:AOPG Cyborg Race Guide
V4 unlock chain, best builds, and why Cyborg's flat damage makes it the most flexible race in Re:AOPG.
Cyborg Race in Re:AOPG (Aug 2026)
Cyborg is the single most flexible race in Re:AOPG. Its +12% flat damage passive applies to every damage source in the game — swords, guns, fighting styles, Devil Fruits, supports, you name it — which means a Cyborg main can swap builds every patch without falling behind. This makes Cyborg the most picked race in the live game by PvP duelists, raid anchors, and grinders alike. After Patch 5.8 Gods Valley added the Godly Saberu and Godly Dark Fragment (both of which scale with Cyborg’s universal +12%), Cyborg has stayed at the top of the Races Tier List and competes with Mink and Gods Valley Native for the S+ slot.
This page covers the Cyborg V4 unlock chain, the top 5 Cyborg builds for Patch 5.8, the best Devil Fruit pairings, and the most common mistakes Cyborg mains make. For the broader race comparison see the Races Tier List and for build variety see the Endgame Builds and Best Builds Hub pages.
Why Cyborg is S+ in Patch 5.8
Three reasons Cyborg is at the top of the meta after Patch 5.8:
1. Universal +12% damage scaling. Cyborg’s passive applies to every damage source in the game. The Godly Saberu’s +45% Sword Saint damage (when paired with Sword Saint support) compounds with Cyborg’s +12% for a 63% effective damage bonus. No other race has this stacking ceiling.
2. Compatibility with every fighting style. Cyborg doesn’t lock you into a single style bonus. You can swap between Death Step (burst), Sharkman Karate (grind), Godhuman (raid), and Soru (PvP) without losing the +12% passive. Mink’s +15% Soru damage is higher for Soru mains but loses 12% on every other style. Cyborg is the safer chase.
3. Mythic weapon synergy. The Godly Saberu (Patch 5.8) and Godly Dark Fragment (Patch 5.8) both have +25-45% damage passives that multiply with Cyborg’s +12%. The Mythic-tier weapons in Patch 5.11 (Frost Saberu and beyond) will continue this trend.
The Cyborg V4 unlock chain is documented on the Race V4 Guide page, and the broader Mythic weapon meta is on the Mythical Awakening Tier List.

- Sum your Observation + Armament + Conqueror’s Haki stats.
- Haki unlocking is on the How to Unlock Haki and Full-Body Haki pages.
Step 3 — Unlock Conqueror’s Haki.
- 1.5% drop from The Boss on Arena Island.
- Or buy a Conqueror’s Haki reroll from the trading plaza.

Top 5 Cyborg Builds for Patch 5.8
Build 1 — Cyborg V4 + Spirit + Death Step + True Gryphon + Sword Saint
The post-5.8 duelist build. Spirit + Death Step’s burst window + True Gryphon’s +35% Sword Saint damage passive is the strongest non-Godly Saberu build in the game. The Cyborg +12% compounds with True Gryphon’s +35% for a 47% effective damage bonus.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Cyborg V4 |
| Fruit | Spirit (Hollow Hollow) |
| Fighting Style | Death Step |

Best for: 1v1 PvP duelists who don’t want to swap to the Godly Saberu meta.
Build 2 — Cyborg V4 + Light + Soru + Godly Saberu + Sword Saint
The 1v1 duelist king. Soru’s movement speed + Light’s burst window + Godly Saberu’s +45% Sword Saint damage + Cyborg’s +12% flat damage is the highest single-target damage ceiling in the game. This is the build most-used in Sea 3 PvP lobbies.

| Fighting Style | Rokushiki Soru |
| Sword | Godly Saberu |

| Support 2 | Seraphim |
Best for: Solo duelists who want the highest kill-pressure ceiling in the game.
Build 3 — Cyborg V4 + Magma + Dragon Claw + CDK + Berserker Armor
The chip-damage farmer. Magma’s passive chip damage + Dragon Claw’s multi-hit combo + Cursed Dual Katana’s +15% Sword Mastery gain + Cyborg’s +12% universal damage is the highest sustained DPS in the game. The build wins by attrition.

The ranged raid build. Dark (Yami Yami) + Death Step + Godly Dark Fragment + Seraphim support + Cyborg +12% is the highest ranged damage ceiling in the game for raid clears. The Dark + Dark Fragment dual-stacking bypasses enemy armor.

The hybrid PvE build. Quake + Godhuman + Godly Saberu + Cyborg’s +12% is the most well-rounded Cyborg build for mid-game PvE. It clears both single-target bosses and mob groups without needing a weapon swap.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Cyborg V4 |

Cyborg vs Mink vs Gods Valley Native
| Race | Top Damage | Best Style | Best Activity | Cyborg Wins? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cyborg V4 | +12% flat | Any | All-rounder | N/A |
| Mink V4 | +15% Soru | Soru | 1v1 PvP | Cyborg for non-Soru builds |
| Gods Valley Native | +15% raid | Godhuman | Raid | Cyborg for non-raid builds |
Cyborg wins on flexibility. Mink wins raw speed. Gods Valley Native wins raw raid utility. If you main one activity, the other two races beat Cyborg. If you swap activities, Cyborg wins.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Picking Cyborg for the +12% and ignoring the build slot. The +12% only stacks when the rest of your build is optimized. A bad Cyborg build with the +12% is still a bad build.
- Skipping the V4 unlock chain. V3 Cyborg has +10% damage vs mechanical enemies only. V4 is +12% flat damage, which is the actual meta passive.
- Picking Magma or Light without the matching fighting style. Magma wants Dragon Claw for multi-hit. Light wants Soru for movement speed. Don’t slot a random style because the Cyborg passive will save you.
- Selling Mythical Fragments to skip the V4 chain. The 500-fragment cost is non-negotiable. Don’t trade fragments for short-term gems.
- Running Cyborg in a low-level Sea 2 lobby. Cyborg’s +12% doesn’t help if you’re still levelling up. Pick Fishman for the Sea 1-2 grind.
