Re:AOPG PvP Builds for Patch 5.8
Top 1v1 and bounty farming builds ranked after the Godly Saberu rebalance.
What PvP Meta Looks Like in Re:AOPG (Aug 2026)
PvP in Re:AOPG has shifted dramatically after Patch 5.8 Gods Valley added the Godly Saberu and rebalanced the burst window on the top damage swords. Pre-5.8, Godly Saberu swung too fast for any non-ranged build to interrupt; post-5.8, the swing window was tuned up by 0.15 seconds and the Godly Saberu is now counterable by Mink + Soru + Light openers. This page ranks the five top PvP builds for the current patch — three 1v1 duelist builds and two bounty-farming builds — with race, fruit, style, sword, gun, and support pairings that maximise kill pressure in Sea 3 and Multiverse Sea PvP lobbies.
The list updates every patch. Bookmark this page and revisit it after every major patch drops — the Patch 5.8 Gods Valley rebalance is the most recent shake-up, and the Patch 5.9 preview is expected to add another tuning pass in September 2026. For the broader raid meta see the Endgame Builds page and the PvP Tier List for the historical rankings.
S Tier — Top 1v1 Duelist Builds
These three builds hold the top of the 1v1 ladder in Sea 3 and Multiverse Sea lobbies. They are tuned for kill pressure on a single target, not for raid DPS.
Build 1 — Mink V4 + Light + Soru + Saberu (Godly)
The pre-5.8 duelist king, still the highest kill-pressure build in the game. Mink’s +15% speed stacks with Soru’s dash chain to give you the fastest engagement range in the game, and Light’s burst window (when fully stacked) lets you 3-shot most PvP targets. Post-5.8, the Godly Saberu swing window is just long enough for you to land the Light opener before getting hit back.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Mink V4 |
| Fruit | Light (Pika Pika) |
| Fighting Style | Rokushiki Soru |
| Sword | Godly Saberu |
| Gun | Slingshot (range poke) |
| Support 1 | Sword Saint |
| Support 2 | Seraphim |
Who it’s for: Solo duelists and PvP bounty hunters who want the highest kill-pressure build in the game.
Why it’s strong: The Mink + Soru movement-speed stack is unique in the game, and the Godly Saberu’s +45% Sword Saint damage passive (when paired with Sword Saint support) compounds with Light’s burst. You control engagement range on every fight.
Weaknesses: Loses hard to Dark because Dark nullifies Light’s Logia intangibility. Also fragile — the build has no defensive sustain, so a single missed disengage loses the fight.
Build 2 — Cyborg V4 + Spirit + Death Step + True Gryphon
The post-5.8 duelist counter. Cyborg’s +12% flat damage bonus applies to every fighting style, which means Spirit + Death Step’s burst window hits harder than any pre-5.8 build. True Gryphon’s +35% Sword Saint damage passive makes this the strongest build that does NOT rely on the Godly Saberu, so it counters the Saberu meta on off-meta lobbies.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Cyborg V4 |
| Fruit | Spirit |
| Fighting Style | Death Step |
| Sword | True Gryphon |
| Gun | Dark Fragment |
| Support 1 | Sword Saint |
| Support 2 | Seraphim |
Who it’s for: Players who want a 1v1 build that doesn’t rely on the Godly Saberu swap-in.
Why it’s strong: Cyborg’s universal damage scaling + Spirit’s ranged burst + Death Step’s single-target burst window is the highest non-Saberu damage ceiling. True Gryphon is still the third-strongest sword in the game.
Weaknesses: Slower than Mink + Soru. Loses long engagements where the Mink player can disengage and reset cooldowns.
Build 3 — Skypiean V3 + Dragon + Sword Saint + Enma
The sword specialist. Skypiean’s +20% agility bonus amplifies Sword Saint damage by 20%, which compounds with Enma’s non-physical damage passive (which bypasses enemy armor). The build is built around landing the Enma combo and one-shotting the opponent before they can disengage.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Skypiean V3 |
| Fruit | Dragon (Uo Uo) |
| Fighting Style | Sword Saint |
| Sword | Enma |
| Gun | Dark Fragment |
| Support 1 | Sword Saint |
| Support 2 | Seraphim |
Who it’s for: Sword main who wants to play the highest single-target damage ceiling in the game.
Why it’s strong: Enma’s armor-bypass passive means every swing does full damage even on heavily-defended targets. The Skypiean + Sword Saint combo is the strongest sword scaling in the game.
Weaknesses: Loses to ranged builds that can kite the Sword Saint window. Also slower than Mink + Soru, so you take chip damage before you close the gap.
A Tier — Bounty Farming Builds
These two builds are tuned for PvP bounty farming — killing players to earn bounty that converts to trade value at the PvP NPC. They are less effective in pure 1v1 duels but generate more bounty per hour.
Build 4 — Fishman V4 + Water (Awakened) + Sharkman Karate + Saberu
The bounty grinder. Fishman’s +25% Water Kung-Fu bonus stacks with Water (Awakened)‘s AoE burst to clear adds and finish off weakened players. The build is built around picking fights in mob-dense areas and farming the kills.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Fishman V4 |
| Fruit | Water (Awakened) |
| Fighting Style | Sharkman Karate |
| Sword | Saberu |
| Gun | Slingshot |
| Support 1 | Berserker Armor |
| Support 2 | Water Kung Fu |
Who it’s for: Bounty farmers grinding the PvP bracket for Beli and Dragon drops.
Why it’s strong: Water (Awakened)‘s AoE clear lets you wipe out a 4-5 player mob in one cast, which doubles the bounty gain per hour compared to a single-target build. Fishman’s water bonus stacks with the style for top damage.
Weaknesses: Single-target DPS is lower than the S-tier builds. Don’t bring this into a duel — you’ll lose to anyone running a meta burst build.
Build 5 — Cyborg V4 + Magma + Dragon Claw + CDK
The chip-damage farmer. Magma’s passive chip damage stacks on every hit, and Dragon Claw’s multi-hit combo applies the chip 4-5 times per second. The build wins by attrition — even a single tick of Magma damage adds up over a 30-second engagement.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Cyborg V4 |
| Fruit | Magma |
| Fighting Style | Dragon Claw |
| Sword | Cursed Dual Katana (CDK) |
| Gun | Dark Fragment |
| Support 1 | Sword Saint |
| Support 2 | Seraphim |
Who it’s for: Long-engagement bounty farmers who win by attrition.
Why it’s strong: Magma’s chip damage + Cyborg’s universal +12% damage + Dragon Claw’s multi-hit combo is the highest sustained DPS in the game. CDK adds +15% Sword Mastery gain on top.
Weaknesses: Slow kill time on single targets. Loses to burst builds that can one-shot you before the chip damage adds up.
PvP Build Comparison
| Build | Best Activity | Bounty/hr | 1v1 Tier | Style |

| Cyborg + Magma + Dragon Claw + CDK | Bounty farm | High | B | Chip |
How to Climb the PvP Ladder
- Pick one of the S-tier builds and commit. Switching builds every patch resets your climb.
- Run with a crew that has at least one support (Sword Saint or Seraphim). Solo queue is unplayable.
- Bank bounty at the Foosha Trade Plaza (Sea 2) every hour. Bounty decays if you die without banking.
- Stack the bounty farming meta rotations for the highest-yield server windows.
- Save Godly Saberu shards for the Mythic Awakening track — see the mythical awakening tier list.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Picking a non-meta build in a meta lobby. Sea 3 PvP lobbies are dominated by Saberu + Light + Soru players. Showing up with a B-tier build is feeding kills.
- Fighting in mob-dense areas with a burst build. The 5-second cooldown window on Light’s burst means you need open space. Mob areas slow you down.
- Banking bounty too late. Bounty decays 25% per death. Bank every hour.
- Holding pre-5.8 builds. The Patch 5.8 Saberu rebalance broke most non-meta builds. The full rebalance list is on the Patch 5.8 Gods Valley page.
- Running Saberu without the Saberu passive. The Godly Saberu passive is +45% Sword Saint damage — you must equip Sword Saint as a support or the passive doesn’t fire.
