Gun Meta in Re:AOPG (Aug 2026)
Guns in Re:AOPG fill three roles: ranged PvE clear, ranged PvP poke, and ranged support for raid crews. They are not the strongest single damage source in Patch 5.8 (Mythic swords still win burst windows), but they are the most versatile and the most consistent damage-per-second over a long engagement. This list ranks every gun currently in the live game after the Patch 5.8 Gods Valley rebalance — Godly Dark Fragment, Skullsplitter, Bazooka, Slingshot, Venom Shot, Kaboom, Acidum Rifle and Dual Flintlocks — using data from the Raid Tier List, the PvP Builds page, and the Sword Tier List.

S+ Tier — Mythic Ranged Weapons
These are the only two guns that clear S+ on the current patch. Both are Mythic-tier drops with passive buffs that scale with the full build slot, and both are gated behind end-game raids.
Godly Dark Fragment
The new S+ ranged weapon. Drops from the Gods Valley Champion raid, added in Patch 5.8. The Dark Fragment line does the highest single-hit damage in the game and the Godly upgrade adds +25% damage against raid bosses (the only gun with this passive). The trade value is the highest of any gun — estimated at 180-260 Dragon on launch.

Who it’s for: End-game raid mains who want the highest single-shot ceiling in the game and don’t want to swap to a sword for the Gods Valley Champion fight.
Why it’s strong: The +25% raid boss damage passive is unique among guns. Paired with Cyborg’s +12% flat damage, you clear the raid 18-22% faster than the next-best gun.
Weaknesses: Slow swap cooldown (3 seconds). Loses to sword mains in 1v1 because the swap window is exploitable. Also gated behind Mythical Awakening rank 4+.
Skullsplitter (Mythic)
The PvP ranged weapon. Drops from the Halloween raid boss during Patch 5.10 (October 2026), so it’s a near-future Mythic that will land this tier once live. The Skullsplitter does flat HP-percentage damage (5% of target max HP per shot), which bypasses armor and shield passives. Trade value estimated at 220-300 Dragon on launch — the highest of any gun.

Why it’s strong: The true-damage passive means every shot deals 5% of the target’s max HP regardless of defenses. Against a 100k HP raid boss, every shot deals 5,000 damage. Against a 25k HP player, every shot deals 1,250 damage — a one-shot from full HP.
Weaknesses: Out of range fights only. The 1.5-second cooldown between shots is exploitable by sword mains who can close the gap.
S Tier — Top Mid-Game Guns
These guns are the workhorses of the mid-game meta. They are not gated behind end-game raids and any player at level 700+ can slot them in.
Bazooka
The mid-game PvE gun. Drops from the Marine Admirals raid at level 600+. The Bazooka does AoE explosive damage that clears 4-5 mobs per shot, making it the fastest AoE clear gun in the game. The trade value is stable at 8-12 Dragon.

Acidum Rifle
The debuffer. Drops from the Outlaw Isle farming route. The Acidum applies a damage-over-time debuff that ticks 8% max HP damage over 10 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. Trade value 15-20 Dragon.

Weaknesses: Slow ramp. If the target disengages within 5 seconds, you lose the stacks. Not effective against raid bosses.
A Tier — Niche Guns
These guns have niche utility but are outclassed by the S-tier picks. They are still strong picks for specific builds.
Slingshot
The PvP poke weapon. The Slingshot has the longest range of any gun and fires 3 projectiles per shot, each dealing 30% of base gun damage. The poke pressure is unmatched, but the per-projectile damage is low. Trade value 3-5 Dragon.
Who it’s for: Mink + Soru mains who want to kite at max range.
Kaboom
The burst AoE gun. The Kaboom fires a single explosive projectile that detonates on impact for 3x damage. Best for one-shotting grouped mobs. Trade value 5-7 Dragon.
Who it’s for: Bounty farmers who want a cheap AoE clear without the Bazooka’s slow swap.
Venom Shot
The single-target DoT gun. Venom Shot applies a 12% max HP DoT over 8 seconds (longer than Acidum but no stack). Trade value 4-6 Dragon.

B Tier — Starter Guns
Dual Flintlocks
The level 1 starter gun. The Dual Flintlocks are equipped by default and have no passive. They’re fine for the first 100 levels but should be swapped out as soon as the Bazooka unlocks at level 600.

How to Pick the Right Gun
- Decide your primary activity. Raid mains want Godly Dark Fragment. PvP duelists want Skullsplitter or Slingshot. Bounty farmers want Bazooka or Kaboom.
- Match the gun to your race. Cyborg’s universal +12% damage scales every gun. Mink’s speed scales Slingshot and Skullsplitter. Fishman’s water bonus scales Acidum.
- Pick a fruit that stacks. Dark stacks with Dark Fragment. Magma stacks with Acidum. Light stacks with Skullsplitter.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Slotting a gun in the secondary weapon slot but never using it. The secondary slot swaps to your gun automatically when you press the swap key. If you only use swords, you’re wasting the slot.
- Skipping the Bazooka at level 600. It’s the strongest mid-game gun and clears 4-5 mobs per shot. Don’t sleep on it.
- Trading Godly Dark Fragment before Patch 5.11. Patch 5.11 may add a Mythic-tier gun upgrade path that requires the Godly Dark Fragment as a base. Hold at least 1 in your inventory.
- Picking a B-tier gun for a meta lobby. Sea 3 PvP lobbies have Dark Fragment users. Showing up with Dual Flintlocks is feeding kills.
- Forgetting the race scaling. Cyborg’s +12% damage stacks with every gun. Don’t run Skullsplitter on a non-Cyborg race unless you’ve optimized the rest of the build.
