Re:AOPG Gods Valley Native Race Guide
Unlock chain, V4 Awakening, best builds and meta context for the new top raid race.
What Gods Valley Native Is
Gods Valley Native is the new top raid race added in Patch 5.8 Gods Valley (Aug 2026). It is the first race in Re:AOPG with a combat HP regen passive, which lets you stand in front of any raid boss for the full 5-minute clear window without pot-chugging. Combined with the +15% raid boss damage passive, Gods Valley Native pushes sustained DPS past Perfect Lunarian V4 and into the top spot on the raid ladder. The race is gated behind the Gods Valley Champion raid clear plus a 100-fragment farming grind, so it is end-game content only.
This page covers the unlock chain, the V4 Awakening track, the best builds that use Gods Valley Native, and the meta context for why the race sits at the top of every tier list after Patch 5.8. For the broader race ranking see the Races Tier List and the Endgame Builds page.
Why Gods Valley Native Dominates Raids
The race has two stacking passives that no other race in the game has:
Passive 1 — Combat HP regen:
- Restores HP while in combat (faster than any other healing passive).
- Caps at 50% max HP per second in a sustained fight.
- Triggers on every raid boss hit, not on natural HP drain.
- Lets you run a full 5-minute Mihawk or Gods Valley Champion clear without pot-chugging.
Passive 2 — +15% raid boss damage:
- Multiplicative damage bonus against any boss tagged as a raid boss.
- Stacks with Godhuman fire scaling.
- Stacks with Sword Saint support fire aura.
- Total damage ceiling is roughly 4.0M DPS in a 5-minute raid clear (the top bracket).
Combined, these two passives make Gods Valley Native the only race in the game that can sustain a top-tier clear without external healing. Every other race needs potion support, food buffs, or a healer support to clear Mihawk in 5 minutes.
How to Unlock Gods Valley Native
The unlock chain is end-game content. You need Sea 3 cleared, the Gods Valley Champion raid defeated, and 100 Gods Valley fragments banked.
Step 1 — Clear Sea 3.
- Sea 3 unlock requires 25,000 total stats + 2 Poneglyphs + 5 Aokiji Raids + 5 Leopard Dungeons + 5 Sea Beast kills. Walkthrough on the Getting Started Guide.
Step 2 — Unlock the Gods Valley region.
- Travel to the new Gods Valley region on the Sea 3 map (south-west of Wano).
- Pick up the Gods Valley intro quest from the Elder NPC.
- Clear 3 mini-bosses in Gods Valley (5,000 HP each, 5-minute lockout per mini-boss).
Step 3 — Defeat the Gods Valley Champion raid boss.
- 500,000 HP, 6-minute lockout, requires a 4-person squad.
- Full strategy on the Gods Valley Bosses page.
- Drop: 5-8 Gods Valley fragments per clear.
Step 4 — Farm 100 Gods Valley fragments.
- Fragment sources:
- Gods Valley Champion raid: 5-8 fragments per clear (weekly lockout).
- Gods Valley mini-bosses: 1 fragment per clear (daily lockout).
- Gods Valley Enforcer raid: 3-5 fragments per clear (weekly lockout).
- Mythic-tier item break-down: 5 fragments per item.
- Expected time to 100 fragments: roughly 8-10 weeks of focused farming.
Step 5 — Buy the race unlock.
- Talk to the Elder NPC and pay 100 Gods Valley fragments + 25,000 Gems + 5,000 Sword Stat.
- The race unlocks on your account for all characters.
V4 Awakening Chain
The Gods Valley Native V4 Awakening is the top-tier form. It unlocks the Gods Valley Champion set bonus (+25% fire damage passive) and the Mythic Awakening track.
V4 Awakening requirements:
- 5,000+ total Haki Stats (from the Haki guide).
- Conqueror’s Haki unlocked (1.5% drop from The Boss on Arena Island).

- Clear the V3 awakening quest from the Elder NPC.
- Clear the V4 awakening quest from the Elder NPC.
- Pay 75 Poneglyphs + 50,000 Gems to complete the V4 unlock.
V4 Awakening passive bonuses:
- Gods Valley Champion set bonus: +25% fire damage passive.
- Mythic Awakening track unlocked.
- +5% damage against Sea 3 raid bosses (additional to base).
The full V4 Awakening walkthrough is on the Haki Guide and the Race V4 Guide pages.
Best Builds for Gods Valley Native
Build 1 — Raid DPS (Top Meta)
The new top raid build after Patch 5.8. Gods Valley Native + Godhuman + Dough + Godly Saberu stacks fire passives multiplicatively.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Gods Valley Native (V4) |
| Fruit | Dough |
| Fighting Style | Godhuman |
| Sword | Godly Saberu |
| Gun | Godly Dark Fragment |
| Support 1 | Seraphim |
| Support 2 | Sword Saint |
Why it’s strong: Triple-stack fire damage — Gods Valley Native’s combat HP regen, Godhuman’s fire M1 chain, and Seraphim’s fire aura buff — compound into the top damage ceiling in the game. Total sustained DPS is roughly 4.0M in 5 minutes, the new top bracket.
Best bosses: Gods Valley Champion, Mihawk, Sky Island raid. The full boss strategy is on the Mihawk Strategy and Gods Valley Bosses pages.
Build 2 — Alternate Raid DPS (Budget)
For players who don’t have Godly Saberu yet. The build uses True Gryphon instead and still hits top-tier DPS.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Gods Valley Native (V4) |
| Fruit | Dough |
| Fighting Style | Godhuman |
| Sword | True Gryphon |
| Gun | Dark Fragment |
| Support 1 | Seraphim |
| Support 2 | Sword Saint |
Why it’s strong: Same fire stacking logic as Build 1, with True Gryphon as a budget Mythic sword instead of Godly Tier. Slightly lower burst damage but still top-tier sustained DPS.
Build 3 — Hybrid Raid / PvP
For players who want a Gods Valley Native build that works in both raid and PvP.
| Slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Race | Gods Valley Native (V4) |
| Fruit | Light |
| Fighting Style | Soru |
| Sword | Godly Saberu |
| Gun | Slingshot |
| Support 1 | Seraphim |
| Support 2 | Sword Saint |
Why it’s strong: Light + Soru gives you PvP burst, and Gods Valley Native’s combat HP regen lets you tank through duels that would normally kill a Soru build. Hybrid damage is lower than the pure raid build but the build works in both modes.
Race Synergy Cheat Sheet
| Slot | Best Pairing |
|---|---|
| Style | Godhuman (raid) / Soru (hybrid) |
| Fruit | Dough (raid) / Light (hybrid) |
| Sword | Godly Saberu / True Gryphon |
| Support | Seraphim + Sword Saint |
The full build rankings are on the Endgame Builds page and the Best Builds Hub page.
How Gods Valley Native Compares to Other Top Races
| Race | Combat HP Regen | Raid Damage Bonus | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gods Valley Native | Yes (in combat) | +15% | Raids |
| Perfect Lunarian V4 | Yes (out of combat) | +20% fire | Raids (alt) |
| Mink V4 | No | +15% speed | PvP |
| Cyborg V4 | No | +12% flat | All-rounder |
Gods Valley Native is the only race with combat HP regen, which is the unique selling point. Perfect Lunarian V4 has out-of-combat regen only, which doesn’t help during a sustained raid fight. For raid players, Gods Valley Native is the clear pick after Patch 5.8. The full comparison is on the Races Tier List page.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Picking Gods Valley Native before clearing Sea 3. The race unlock chain requires Sea 3 cleared and the Gods Valley Champion raid defeated. You can’t even start the quest without Sea 3.
- Skipping the fragment farming step. The race costs 100 Gods Valley fragments — don’t burn fragments at the seasonal NPC.
- Using Gods Valley Native in PvP. The combat HP regen is wasted in PvP because most duels end in 10-15 seconds. For PvP, Mink V4 is still the top pick.
- Running the Gods Valley Champion on a non-coordinated squad. The boss has a 6-minute lockout and a 500,000 HP pool. Random squads won’t clear it.
- Holding pre-5.8 builds. Patch 5.8 invalidated most older raid builds. The full rebalance list is on the Patch 5.8 Gods Valley page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Re:AOPG questions.
How do I unlock Gods Valley Native in Re:AOPG?
Clear Sea 3, defeat the Gods Valley Champion raid (500,000 HP, 4-person squad), farm 100 Gods Valley fragments, then pay 100 fragments + 25,000 Gems + 5,000 Sword Stat at the Elder NPC. The full walkthrough is on the [Gods Valley Native race page](/players/gods-valley-native-race/).
Why is Gods Valley Native the top raid race?
Combat HP regen (unique passive) + +15% raid boss damage. Combat HP regen lets you sustain a full 5-minute raid clear without pot-chugging. The +15% damage bonus pushes sustained DPS past Perfect Lunarian V4. The full ranking is on the [Races Tier List](/tier-list/races-tier-list/).
What are the V4 Awakening requirements?
5,000+ total Haki Stats, Conqueror's Haki unlocked, 50 additional Gods Valley fragments, clear the V3 + V4 quests, pay 75 Poneglyphs + 50,000 Gems. The full V4 walkthrough is on the [Race V4 Guide](/guides/race-v4-guide/).
Where do Gods Valley fragments drop?
Gods Valley Champion raid (5-8 per clear), Gods Valley Enforcer raid (3-5 per clear), Gods Valley mini-bosses (1 per clear), and Mythic-tier item break-downs (5 per item). The fastest farming route is on the [Gods Valley Native race page](/players/gods-valley-native-race/).
Can I use Gods Valley Native in PvP?
Yes but suboptimal — the combat HP regen is wasted in PvP because most duels end in 10-15 seconds. For pure PvP, Mink V4 + Light + Soru is still the top pick. See the [PvP Builds](/tier-list/pvp-builds-august-2026/) page for the current meta.
