What Is Mythical Awakening in Re:AOPG?

Mythical Awakening is the post-Mythical upgrade track introduced across Patches 5.6 through 5.8. Once an item is at Mythical rank 5 (or for weapons, fully upgraded), you can Awaken it through the Mythical Forge NPC at Castle on the Sea. Awakening unlocks a hidden passive and adds +1 stat tier to the item. In Patch 5.8 the system was extended with the new Godly tier sitting directly above Mythical Awakening — Mythical Awakening items still matter because they’re the prerequisite craft path for Godly weapons.

Mythical Awakening Weapons — S Tier

Godly Saberu (S Tier)

The Godly Saberu is the top raid sword in Patch 5.8. It has a hidden +25% damage passive against Sea 3 raid bosses and +10% Sword Mastery on every swing. Drops from the Gods Valley Enforcer at 3% per clear or 18% as a shard (3 shards = 1 weapon). The full unlock path is on the Gods Valley bosses page and the Sword tier list.

Godly True Gryphon (S Tier)

The Godly True Gryphon is the upgraded version of Mythical True Gryphon — you can feed your Mythical copy into the Mythical Forge to upgrade. Adds +15% Sword Mastery gain passive and a fire slash chain that scales with Mythical Awakening rank. Drops from the Gods Valley Champion at 1% per clear.

Yoru (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Yoru is the burst-DPS sword. Hits for 3x base damage on the first swing after a 4-second cooldown, with a Mythical Awakening passive that adds +20% critical damage on the opener. Pairs with Light fruit for the highest single-target burst in the game. The full sword ranking is on the Sword tier list.

Midnight Blade (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Midnight Blade is the Mythical upgrade of the original Dark Blade. Hidden passive: +30% damage against Logia users. Pairs with the Dark fruit for the top counter-Logia build in the current meta.

Mythical Awakening Weapons — A Tier

Cursed Dual Katana (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened CDK is the all-rounder sword. +15% Sword Mastery gain stacks with Godhuman fire scaling and any Mythical Awakening accessory. Best-in-slot for the Cyborg all-rounder build on the endgame builds page.

Saberu (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Saberu is the budget Godly Saberu. Same passive structure as Godly Saberu but with a +15% damage cap (vs Godly’s +25%). Costs roughly 1/3 the price on the Trading Values page.

Rune Blade (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Rune Blade adds +12% Sword Mastery and a 5% lifesteal on every swing. Best-in-slot for solo farming routes. The full ranking is on the Sword tier list.

Dark Fragment (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Dark Fragment is the top Mythical gun. Adds +18% ranged burst and a 3-round burst passive on a 6-second cooldown. Pairs with Godly Saberu in every raid build on the endgame builds page.

Mythical Awakening Weapons — B Tier

Shizu (Awakened) (B Tier)

The Awakened Shizu is the Mythical upgrade of the classic Shizu sword. Adds +8% Sword Mastery and a poison DoT on every third swing. Solid budget pick.

Spikey Trident (Awakened) (B Tier)

The Awakened Spikey Trident is the budget Dark Fragment alternative. Adds +10% ranged burst without the burst passive. Slower clear times but much cheaper to Awaken.

Slingshot (Awakened) (B Tier)

The Awakened Slingshot is the Mythical upgrade of the default Slingshot gun. Adds +5% ranged damage and a 2-round burst passive. Best-in-slot for AFK farming routes.

Mythical Awakening Accessories — S Tier

Godly Mother Talisman (S Tier)

The Godly Mother Talisman is the first Godly-tier accessory. Adds +12% all damage and a passive heal-over-time (5% max HP every 30 seconds). Drops from the Gods Valley Champion at 2% per clear or 14% as a shard (5 shards = 1 talisman). The full drop path is on the Gods Valley bosses page.

Dark Coat (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Dark Coat is the top PvP accessory. Adds +15% damage reduction against physical attacks and a 20% slow on attackers when you take a hit. Pairs with Dark fruit for the top PvP tank build.

Pilot Helmet (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Pilot Helmet is the top raid support accessory. Adds +10% raid damage to all party members within 30 studs. Best-in-slot for support builds on the Support Builds page.

Mythical Awakening Accessories — A Tier

Hawk Eyes (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Hawk Eyes add +8% all damage and a 15% increased critical rate. Best-in-slot for crit-focused builds.

Marine Cap (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Marine Cap adds +6% all damage and a 5% HP regen out of combat. Budget raid support alternative to the Pilot Helmet.

Warrior Helmet (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Warrior Helmet adds +10% physical damage and +5% HP. Solid budget pick for melee-focused builds.

Leopard (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Leopard is the top fruit in Patch 5.8 for raw single-target damage. Adds +20% melee damage on a 6-second cooldown burst window. The full fruit ranking is on the Devil Fruits tier list.

Dragon (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Dragon is the top AoE clear fruit. Adds +25% AoE damage and a fire-breath cone that scales with Mythical Awakening rank. Pairs with Awakened Saiyan in the Multiverse Sea build on the endgame builds page.

Soul (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Soul is the top support fruit. Adds +15% damage to all party members and a 10% lifesteal aura. Best-in-slot for the support role in raid compositions.

The Awakened Dough is the top sustained-DPS fruit. Adds +18% sustained DPS and a Dough DoT that scales with Mythical Awakening rank. Pairs with Godhuman in every raid build on the endgame builds page.

The Awakened Mammoth is the Mythical upgrade of the classic Mammoth fruit. Adds +12% HP and a knockback aura. Solid tank pick.

The Awakened Quake adds +15% AoE damage and a stun on the third hit. Best-in-slot for PvP Arena builds.

Ope (Awakened) (A Tier)

Magma (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Magma adds +14% sustained DPS and a fire DoT on every swing. Budget Dough alternative.

Mochi (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Mochi adds +12% HP and a 10% damage reduction aura. Solid tank pick.

Seraphim (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Seraphim is the top support in Patch 5.8. Adds +20% fire aura to all party members within 40 studs and +10% Sword Mastery gain. Pairs with Godhuman in every raid build on the endgame builds page.

Sword Saint (Awakened) (S Tier)

The Awakened Sword Saint adds +150% sword DPS multiplier and +15% Sword Mastery gain. Pairs with Seraphim for the top raid support stack.

Primal Saiyan Goku (S Tier)

The Awakened Goku support adds +25% Mythical Awakening buff and a 10-second power-up ramp. Pairs with Awakened Saiyan in the Multiverse Sea build on the endgame builds page.

Mythical Awakening Supports — A Tier

Ghoul (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Ghoul adds +10% lifesteal aura and +8% melee damage. Solid budget support pick.

Wano Samurai (Awakened) (A Tier)

The Awakened Wano Samurai adds +12% Sword Mastery gain and a 5% HP regen aura. Best-in-slot for Sword Mastery grinding.

Mythical Awakening Supports — B Tier

Marine Admiral (Awakened) (B Tier)

The Awakened Marine Admiral adds +8% all damage and a 5% HP regen aura. Budget raid support.

Revolutionary (Awakened) (B Tier)

The Awakened Revolutionary adds +10% melee damage and a 5% movement speed aura. Solid bounty farming pick.

Mythical Awakening Priority — Where to Spend Your Fragments First

The order you should Awaken items in:

1. Godly Saberu — top raid weapon, drops from the Gods Valley bosses.
2. Godly True Gryphon — second Godly weapon, also from Gods Valley.
3. Godly Mother Talisman — first Godly accessory, also from Gods Valley.
4. Dough (Awakened) — top sustained-DPS fruit.
5. Seraphim (Awakened) — top raid support.
6. Sword Saint (Awakened) — top Sword Mastery support.
7. Dark Fragment (Awakened) — top Mythical gun.
8. Midnight Blade (Awakened) — top counter-Logia sword.
9. Soul (Awakened) — top support fruit.
10. Leopard (Awakened) — top single-target fruit.

The rule of thumb: weapons first (highest scaling), fruits second (multiplicative passives), accessories third (additive bonuses), supports fourth (party-wide buffs).

How to Awaken an Item

The fastest path to Mythical Awakening:

1. Upgrade the item to Mythical rank 5 — most Mythical items drop at rank 1 and need 5 upgrades. Each upgrade costs Mythical Fragments.
2. Travel to the Mythical Forge NPC — located at Castle on the Sea, behind the raid building.
3. Pay the Awakening cost — varies by item. Godly-tier items cost 50 Mythical Fragments + 25M Beli. Standard Mythical items cost 25 Mythical Fragments + 10M Beli.
4. Complete the Awakening quest — most items have a 3-step quest chain. Check the NPC’s quest log.
5. Awaken the item — the NPC will upgrade the item to Mythical Awakening rank 1. Each subsequent rank costs 10 Mythical Fragments.

Mythical Awakening vs Godly Tier

Mythical Awakening and Godly are two separate tracks:

• Mythical Awakening — applies to existing Mythical items. Adds +1 stat tier and a hidden passive.
• Godly — a new tier above Mythical added in Patch 5.8. Three items at launch: Godly Saberu, Godly True Gryphon, Godly Mother Talisman.

You can Awaken a Mythical item, but you cannot Awaken a Godly item — Godly items are already the cap. The Godly track is the upgrade path from Mythical Awakening, not the other way around. The full Godly context is on the Gods Valley bosses page.

Common Mistakes

• Awakening non-meta items — focus on the S-tier list above. Awakening a B-tier item is a Mythical Fragment sink.
• Skipping the Godly upgrade — if your item has a Godly version, take the Godly version first. Godly is strictly better than Mythical Awakening.
• Ignoring supports — supports are often a 30-40% damage bump for the whole party. The support rankings are on the Support Builds page.
• Selling Mythical Fragments — fragments are the only Awakening currency. Stockpile everything. The current Trading Values page lists the live fragment price.
• Holding pre-Patch 5.8 items — the Patch 5.8 rebalance invalidated most older Mythical picks. Focus on the new Godly track. The full rebalance list is on the Patch 5.8 Gods Valley page.
