When to reroll, what it costs, and which races are worth the Gems.

Re:AOPG Race Reroll Guide: Costs and Best Targets

Race reroll is the second most searched “how do I reset” query after fruit spins. Re:AOPG keeps AOPG’s race list — Human, Fishman, Mink, Skypiean, Cyborg, Lunarian, Gear, Ultimate Slime, Awakened Saiyan, Bunny, Giant, Seraphim, plus newer lines such as Saurian and Gods Valley Native — and it still uses Gems and Poneglyphs as the reroll fuel. Do not spend your first Gem stash until you understand V4 and essences.

What a Race Reroll Changes

A reroll replaces your current race. It does not refund fighting-style trainers you already paid, and it does not move Full-Body Haki progress. You keep stats, fruits, and swords. You lose race passives (Fishman swim and style bonuses, Mink speed, Skypiean agility, Cyborg flat damage, Lunarian tanking, and so on).

If the game offers race storage, store a race you like before you roll. Storage is the difference between a calculated experiment and a brick account. Check the race NPC and the Trello races list for the current storage price; it moves with patches.

How to Pay for Rerolls

Three currencies show up in race shops:

  • Gems — the usual reroll tender. Codes such as 1kActive (15k Gems), ReAOPG2 (12k Gems), Raidcounter (25k Gems), and SorryForDelay exist to feed this loop. Full list: working codes.
  • Poneglyphs — used for V4 gates and some Mythic-tier race unlocks. QOL!, Reinhard, 1kActive, and ReMultiverseSea all dump Poneglyphs.
  • Essences — Awakened Saiyan, Lunarian, Gear, Leopard dungeon, Ultimate Slime. These are raid or island drops, not a random shop click. See races and Seraphim.

Classic AOPG also shipped a ThebossYT style race reroll code in old archives. Do not expect legacy strings to work on Re:AOPG; redeem the live August 2026 batch instead.

Which Race to Reroll Toward

Use the races tier list as the live ranking. Practical targets for August 2026:

  • Cyborg — safest all-rounder, V4 (Ultimate Cyborg) is a long raid project. Guide: Cyborg.
  • Mink — speed and Soru. Strong for bounty and PvP with Sword Saint.
  • Skypiean — still the beginner recommendation on the home page when you want Sword Saint damage.
  • Fishman — grind king for water styles and many Beli routes.
  • Lunarian / Perfect Lunarian — endgame tank. Perfect Lunarian.
  • Awakened Saiyan — Multiverse Goku island synergy. Goku style.
  • Seraphim / Gear / Saurian / Gods Valley Native — patch-gated. Read the matching player pages before you burn Poneglyphs.

Human is fine for PvP stat pools but is rarely the “I just rerolled” pick unless you know why you want it.

V4 Is Not a Reroll

V4 (Mink V4, Cyborg V4, Lunarian V4, and the rest) is a quest and raid chain, not a shop reroll. If you reroll off a race mid-V4, you can strand essences. Finish or store first. Walkthrough: Race V4.

Full-Body Haki on Sea 3 is also race-agnostic grind (Pica dungeon). Do not reroll just to “fix Haki.” Use full-body Haki.

Order of Operations for New Accounts

  1. Redeem Gem and Poneglyph codes.
  2. Play Starter Island through Logue Town on whatever race you rolled. You can beat Bandits as Human.
  3. Spin a fruit you can live with (fruit reroll).
  4. Hit 5,000 total stats and Law Raid for Second Sea.
  5. Then reroll toward a Sea 2–3 meta race if the starter race is holding you back.

Rerolling at level 10 wastes Gems you need for fruit storage and crew upgrades. The crew upgrades ladder eats Beli, not your race identity — keep those budgets separate.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Re:AOPG questions.

Does race reroll delete my Devil Fruit?

No. Fruits, swords, stats, and Haki progress stay. You only change race passives.

What currency is a race reroll?

Usually Gems, with Poneglyphs and essences for V4 and Mythic races. Codes like 1kActive fund the Gem side.

Should I reroll before Second Sea?

Only if the starter race is miserable. Most players wait until 5,000 stats so Gems go further.

Is V4 a reroll?

No. V4 is a raid and quest upgrade on a race you already own. See the [Race V4 guide](/guides/race-v4-guide/).
