The damage style beginners graduate into — and the raid that prints Gems for awakens.

Re:AOPG Wukong Fighting Style and Wukong Raid Gems

Wukong is the fighting style August 2026 grind writeups put in S-tier for beginners who already finished Black Leg. It is not a Starter Island 500k purchase. It is the style you slot when you want a real damage multiplier on top of Dark V2, not another kick animation.

Treat Wukong as two systems that share a name:

  1. Wukong the style — scrolls, especially the Y move setup. Community notes still quote about 2.63× when the scroll path is finished. That number is why people park Black Leg.
  2. Wukong the raid — a Gem printer once your stats and Dark range can survive the room. Sea 2 max-stat guides tell you to run it instead of gambling every Gem on the dealer.

Confirm NPC and island on the Trello. Names move after collab patches. The tracker still helps: Island Tracker.

When You Should Switch Off Black Leg

Black Leg’s upgraded form is about 20% global. That is a First Sea tax. Wukong’s scroll ceiling is a different sport. Switch when:

  • You have Dark V2 or another AoE fruit so the raid is not a melee suicide.
  • You can afford to spend Gems on style scrolls instead of a third race reroll.
  • You have a loadout slot so Black Leg stays on an island preset.

If you are still on Quest Dummy 1, buy Black Leg, not Wukong.

Y Move and Scrolls

Do not rank Wukong on the base M1. The value is the buffed Y after scrolls. Current beginner-to-endgame notes tell you to push that path before you chase Reincarnated Slime or World Above Heaven. Those two sit with Wukong on the same S-tier fighting-style lists for damage setups, but they are later Multiverse / support unlocks. Rankings: fighting styles and support styles.

Practical order:

  1. Equip Wukong.
  2. Work the scroll NPC / inventory items the Trello card lists for Y.
  3. Test on a dummy next to Black Leg with the same fruit. If the dummy dies slower, you missed a scroll, not “Wukong is mid.”
  4. Put the finished Wukong on your raid loadout.

Wukong Raid — Gems, Not a Fashion Show

Sea 2 needs Gems for:

  • Dark / other Gem Merchant awakens (~18k for full Dark).
  • Race rolls toward Slime / Shanden style damage races.
  • Mihawk / Hawk Eyes sword Gems.
  • Title spins.

Wukong Raid is the loop those same guides recommend once you can stand in the instance. Dark Fruit helps because you can hit from a safer range. If you die to mechanics, you are not “bad at Wukong” — you are under the Sea 2 max stats stack (Haki V2, titles, accessories).

Do not empty the Gem bag on the Fruit Dealer during a raid week. Dealer luck is infinite. Awaken costs are not.

Pairings

GoalPair Wukong with
NPC grindDark V2, extra quest slots, PvP off
Gem raidDark V2 or another ranged AoE, decent Defense
Later damageSlime / Shanden race, strong title, Twilight or Zangetsu
Support laterReincarnated Slime / World Above Heaven when those quests are open

Goku support is a separate Multiverse unlock — Goku style. It does not replace Wukong’s Y buff; it stacks as support.

Common Mistakes

  • Hunting Wukong on Starter Island next to Sanji.
  • Ranking Wukong before the Y scrolls.
  • Spending raid Gems on a Hybrid roll “for fun” (Hybrid is a Chainsaw gate).
  • Running the raid with a single-target sword and no fruit AoE.
  • Confusing this Wukong with a different Roblox monkey style from another game.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Re:AOPG questions.

Is Wukong better than Black Leg in Re:AOPG?

As a late damage style, yes once the Y-move scrolls are done. Black Leg is the Starter Island 500k / 20 million upgrade. Buy Black Leg first.

What is Wukong Raid for?

Gems. Sea 2 guides use it to fund awakens, races, and sword quests. Bring ranged AoE such as Dark V2.

How much damage does Wukong add?

Community notes put a finished Y-move scroll setup around 2.63×. Verify on a dummy after each scroll; Trello lists the exact items.

Should I main Wukong in PvP?

Not automatically. It is a PvE damage and raid-gem style in current beginner routes. PvP rankings live on the [PvP tier list](/tier-list/pvp-tier-list/).
