Re:AOPG Slime & Shanden Races
Global damage reroll targets for August 2026 — when to spin and what to buy first.
Race is a global damage multiplier in Re:AOPG. August 2026 damage guides put Slime (2.3x) and Shanden (2x) at the top of rollable damage races, with Buccaneer and Heavenly Restricted around 1.5x. Hybrid exists for Chainsaw Man and does not win a pure damage race chase.
This page explains when to spend Gems on race rerolls, how Slime / Shanden fit the beginner to endgame order, and how they compare to older V4 races on the races tier list. General reroll math: race reroll.
When to Reroll (Not Minute One)
Do not burn starter Gems on race vanity before:
- All codes + group reward.
- Quest slots toward five.
- Ignous Helmet + Stone Gauntlets.
- Black Leg unlock / upgrade.
- Island Tracker.
- Dark V2 online.
Race multiplies a build that already farms. A 2.3x Slime on a fruitless account still clears slowly. Finish Solo Prison stats first — solo prison farm.
Damage Race Ladder (Aug 2026)
| Race | Approx global damage | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Slime | ~2.3x | Top rollable damage target |
| Shanden | ~2x | Excellent second choice |
| Buccaneer | ~1.5x | Solid mid chase |
| Heavenly Restricted | ~1.5x | Damage-focused alternative |
| Lunatrix / others | lower | Usable, not first aim |
| Hybrid | no equal global buff | Required for Chainsaw Man only |
Older wiki rows still rank Mink / Cyborg / Lunarian for V4 style synergy. Those remain valid endgame paths — see races and race V4. The August beginner damage list above is specifically about global damage buff rerolls while you finish swords and Haki.
Slime vs Reincarnated Slime Style
Slime race ≠ Reincarnated Slime support style. The race is a reroll result. The support style is a separate Multiverse / collab unlock that August support tiers also rate highly next to World Above Heaven. If a video title says “Reincarnated Slime,” check whether it means race or style before you spend Gems.

How to Spend Gems Efficiently
- Codes → Gem Merchant Dark awaken (~18k) before race spam.
- Raise Gem cap with Poneglyphs in New Alabasta when codes drop stacks (
1kActive,ReMultiverseSea). - Farm raid Gems — gem farming / gem farming rotation.
- Then race reroll toward Slime or Shanden.
- Stop when you hit either; do not infinite-spin past your sword quest budget for Twilight / Zangetsu.
Pairing With Fruits & Styles
Recommended progression stack:
- Fruit: Dark V2 (farm) → keep Okuchi / Serpent for damage tests
- Style: Black Leg → Wukong
- Race: Slime or Shanden
- Sword: Twilight or Zangetsu
- Accessories: damage-focused sets from the accessories tier list
Full order: beginner to endgame. Fruit context: fruit tier list August.
Common Mistakes
- Rerolling Hybrid “for damage” — wrong tool; Hybrid gates Chainsaw Man.
- Spending all code Gems on races before Dark V2.
- Confusing Slime race with Reincarnated Slime style purchases.
- Ignoring Shanden when Slime refuses to appear — 2x is still a huge jump.
- Rerolling during a 2x EXP code window you should spend in Solo Prison.

Slime at about 2.3x global damage, then Shanden at about 2x. Reroll only after codes, Gem shop essentials, Black Leg, Tracker, and Dark V2.

After Dark V2 and Solo Prison stats, using leftover Gems that are not needed for sword or Haki quests.
